Hostap Hel anello in titanio

A few weeks ago, I saw this thread
about some custom bronze, copper and titanium "K-Rings" made by Ostap Hel (aka Ostap on that forum).
I thought they were great, and because at the time I was thinking about a ring as a gift for myself, I contacted Ostap asking for a titanium ring. A couple mails about measures/specs and, in about ten days, my titanium ring was ready.

I received my ring three days ago

The titanium ring came in a nice presentation box with the Hostap Hel logo on it. The whole package looks great, it’s simple and elegant, I have to say is more than adequate for a gift

Now, to the ring itself. It’s 10mm large and 1,5mm thick, made in anodized titanium to create a blue/greenish color on the whole internal surface and in the two external grooves. Actually I don’t know what type of titanium Ostap used for his rings, in fact actual compositions of titanium can vary, such as "commercial pure" (99.2% titanium) or "aircraft grade" (primarily, 90% titanium, 6%aluminum, 4% vanadium). If I may suggest an improvement, I would like an information sheet attached to the package.
Titanium rings offer several unique properties: they are biocompatible (hypoallergenic), lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and have the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any crystalline metal.
It can be difficult, but it is possible to reduce and increase ring sizes if needed. The amount of the reduction and increase is anyway limited. They are only slightly more difficult to cut off in case of emergency than for gold rings; titanium is comparable to steel in its resistance to sawing.

That said, I’m really happy about the result. The ring made by Ostap is light, modern, simple and elegant. I have rough big hands, I did not take care of them at all, and I like them; anyway this ring add something to them imho. Of course one may or may not like that particular ring style, anyway Ostap works fit and finish are top notch, period.
My deepest thanks and congratulations to Ostap for his fine work. You can see other objects (knives, rings, k-rings) made by Ostap on his FB page
